WHY DO I HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE?

We at Today’s THV would like to set the standard high for the character and tone of how everyone participates in this new dialogue. In the past, participation in most websites has been anonymous—you didn’t have to log in to write a comment or post in a forum.

We’re now asking you to create a login to participate in this new dialogue. We are requiring membership with a valid e-mail address and that users be over the age of 13. However, when you become a member, you can have an anonymous screen name (See Socializing Safely Online Tips for suggestions on what you should and should not do when creating your login). The reason we are requiring membership to participate is to hold users accountable for posting inappropriate content (See Abuse Guidelines). As a participant, you can help monitor the content for inappropriate material. If you see content that is offensive you can click the “Report Abuse” link.

Again, if you want to participate in the powerful new medium in our community, you have to create a login. If you just want to view content, you don’t have to register.
