Arkansas Business: The need for architects today

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Going into the field of architecture typically promises higher-paying starting salaries. It's also one of the more expensive college majors.

Arkansas Business' Lance Turner stopped by the THV Information Center today to talk with us a little about the need for architects today.

Turner says that in a recent report from the Georgetown Center of Education and the Workforce found the jobless rate for recent architecture graduates to be at 13.9 percent.

However, Turner says that there are some signs of recovery for architects in this part of the country. The American Institute of Architects says that the construction sector is improving.
