LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - 2011 won't be remembered as a good year for Arkansas' manufacturing base, as it saw some high-profile closures. Yarnell's and Whirlpool were among some of the closures.
Some companies, however, are managing to "buck" the trend of layoffs.
Arkansas Business' Lance Turner joined us today in the THV Information Center to talk a little more about manufacturing employment in the state.
Turner tells us that we lost about 3 percent of manufacturing jobs here in Arkansas last year.
