LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- On "Today's THV at Noon" we're talking about plastic shopping bags. Seattle officials have voted to ban single-use plastic bags from groceries and other retail stores. The ordinance includes a nickel fee on the use of paper bags from stores.

It was passed by a unanimous vote at the city council's Monday meeting. The city's residents use 292 million plastic bags a year. The ban is expected to reduce pollution, free up landfill space and improve the environment.

Today on C-Block we are asking you if you would like to see this happen in Arkansas? Would you be opposed to completely getting rid of plastic bags all together?

Many people reuse plastic bags from grocery stores and other businesses. Do you think it would cut back on littering here in the natural state?

Or maybe you would rather shell out the 5 cents per paper bag and not worry about the hassle of reusable bags?
