LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Eating black-eyed peas has become a family tradition for many people to bring in the New Year. People believe it brings them good luck. But eating black-eyed peas isn't the only superstition some of you may have.
Some people eat fish or grapes. That tradition or superstition, dates back to 1909.
Others believe in the "first footing" to ensure good luck for the house. That's where the first person to enter your house after midnight should be a man with dark hair and he should bring something symbolic of coal, shortbread, salt, or whiskey.
Another tradition or superstition many follow is not washing clothes on New Years. It's a foreshadowing of what you'll be doing the rest of the year.
As you'd guess, New Year superstitions and traditions is what we're talking about in today's c-block. Do you follow any new year's superstitions?
