UNDATED (CNN) -- It's no secret, the web sites you visit keep tabs on you, track where you go, what you're looking at all in the name of advertising dollars. And Google is now taking things a step further, storing the information they gather about you from all of their platforms on a single system.

But did you know, sometimes their inferences about you that they're handing over to advertisers are wrong?

According to Google, Amy Nachman is a 25-year-old man. She says, "I've been a tomboy my whole life so it just kind of goes along with what people have thought about me."

But in reality, Amy says, "I am a 55 year old woman!"

Google recently announced they are changing their privacy settings for all their different outlets and making them one solid account. Rafe Needleman, CNET editor says, "Everything you do know on Google services is collected in one big place so they now know a lot more about what you are doing. The more they know about you the more they can charge for advertising."

Google's guesses are based on the users web browsing. Amy was curious what they learned from her life in cyber reality. She says, "I am very interested in sports so I go to ESPN I am a big baseball fan so I spend enough time trying to figure out my sports info so they assumed."

Google has demographic information for over 2 million websites; each one has a percentage for the age and gender of their visitors. Needleman says in most cases the websites are right. He says, "There are always stereotypes that are true and there are always people who break out of them...but the numbers are what they are."

So if Google claims to know so much about us, should we be concerned they got it so wrong? According to Needleman, no. He says, "What do you care what Google thinks who you are? I personally would be glad to know that Google gets me wrong. I don't want Google knowing everything about me. People are so concerned about big brother finding out so much about you, it doesn't really matter what they think cause they are wrong."
