LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Arkansas State Police say that the trooper who works security for the Razorbacks didn't violate ASP policy or state laws by picking up head coach Bobby Petrino after his motorcycle accident.

ASP Captain Lance King says he got a call from another trooper that a wreck had happened, and the license plate came back as Coach Petrino's.

According to the ASP, Capt. King called the coach's cell phone, but he did not answer. He then received a call right back from who he described has an "unidentified female" who asked him to meet her and Coach Petrino at a parking lot.

Capt. King met them in the parking lot, and then took the coach to the hospital. He also contacted his supervisor to report the situation.

According to Capt. King's full narrative report from ASP (PDF), he had never seen the woman before.
