NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A recent rash of robberies has North Little Rock police warning residents in two neighborhoods.

In the past week, five homes have been broken into in the Lakewood and Indian Hills neighborhoods.

One of the victim's homes is a state trooper. The suspect stole the troopers badge, ID and gun.

And while NLR police have a suspect vehicle, they are encouraging community members to keep an eye out in their neighborhood.

Sgt. Brian Dedrick says, "We are really trying to get the community involved to see if we can get the community to call us on any strange or suspicious activity they see in their neighborhood."

Sergeant Dedrick added that they are beefing up patrol in those neighborhoods.

He also wants to remind residents to make sure you take all of your valuables out of your cars and keep them locked at all times.
