FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in northwest Arkansas say a man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in Iowa has been arrested in Fayetteville.
Police say 23-year-old David Wever of Mason City, Iowa, was arrested Sunday after allegedly leading Fayetteville police on a chase and nearly running over an officer.
Police say they found a black cap that said "Police" in Wever's truck, along with a collapsible baton and large, fixed-blade knife.
Michael Fuller with the U.S. Marshals Service tells Fayetteville television station KHOG (http://is.gd/J7VsMy ) that Wever is accused of running a home-repair scam.
