UNDATED (USA Today) -- Here's another case of life imitating art: Meth-cooker Walter White is a wanted man, not only on the TV series Breaking Bad but in Alabama, according to news reports from the heart of Dixie.

Down in Tuscaloosa, 55-year-old Walter Eddy White has vaulted to the top of the county sheriff's "most wanted" list after he violated his 2010 probation for making and selling methamphetamine two years earlier, the Tuscaloosa News says. Seems he was arrested this past January in neighboring Bibb County on the same charges, then missed a court date last month, Alabama Live adds.

White's TV avatar, a former high school chemistry teacher played by Bryan Cranston, also finds himself pursued by the law (particularly his brother-in-law) for making "ice."

The Daily Beast declares, "The two guys are even doppelgangers."
