LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Someone vandalized the football field at Catholic High School in Little Rock, and authorities are trying to figure out who is responsible for it.
Police say an assistant principal arrived at the school for practice Monday and noticed a derogatory message and the score '24-10' spray-painted on the field. That score was the result of last week's Catholic vs. Central High School game, which Catholic lost.
The official told police an off-duty police officer was on scene until about 1:00 a.m. following the game. There are no security cameras that overlook the area, but now the school is looking to invest in them.
The new football field cost $500,000 to construct and the school is offering a $2,500 reward for information that helps determine who vandalized the new field.
