ALEXANDER, Ark. (KTHV) - Saline County authorities are investigating a shooting that happened between four men at a home in Alexander.

"The last thing that you expect to happen in your neighborhood on an afternoon when the weather is nice and people are outside is to start hearing multiple gunshots," said Saline County Sheriff Bruce Pennington at a press conference Friday.

Police say Monday afternoon, Jason Harcourt along with his friend, Jamar Williams, met up with Joshua Green and John Hayes at Hayes' home in Alexander. Witnesses say the four began arguing and exchanged gunfire. Harcourt was shot several times, Hayes once. Green and Williams took off.

Harcourt was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, Hayes by private vehicle.

Sheriff Bruce Pennington with the Saline County Sheriff's Department says it was all over two bags of meth.

"It was a drug deal gone bad. Fortunately for these individuals that are listed here, they're shooting capabilities were not that good," said Pennington.

On Tuesday, Hayes was released from the hospital and taken into custody by the Saline County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, Green was taken into custody without incident. Four weapons were also found that were believed to have been used in the shooting.

On Thursday, Williams was taken into custody as well.

John Hayes, 51, is charged with 2 counts of attempted capital murder and possession of a firearm by a certain person. He posted $150,000 bond and was released.

Jason Harcourt, 32, from Little Rock is charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute greater than 10 grams. He is currently in the custody of the Arkansas Department of Correction, his parole revoked. More charges are expected to be filed against him.

Joshua Green, 32, from Little Rock is charged with 2 counts of attempted capital murder and possession of a firearm by a certain person, tampering with evidence, hindering apprehension and is being held on $100,000 bond in the Saline County Jail.

Jamar "Little Baby" Williams, 25, from Little Rock is charged with 2 counts of attempted capital murder, possession of a firearm by a certain person and is being held on $100,000 bond.

"When you have a joint effort by different agencies, in a time span of three days, we were able to from start to finish on this case, we were able to make the arrests and put the bad people in jail," says Pennington.
