UNDATED (CNN) -- 2012 could be a "Year of the Woman" on Capitol Hill.
There could be a wave of women lawmakers heading to the Senate and House this November.
That would reverse the 2010 election trend, when the number of female representatives dipped for the first time since 1978 and only one woman went to the Senate.
The last "Year of the Woman" was in 1992, when four women were elected to the Senate. This year, there are 10 running.
Experts say both parties have been trying to attract more female candidates.
