Chinu U. Kim pleads guilty to Vasquez murders

    Chinu U. Kim, 24, of Jacksonville, Ark., pleaded guilty to two counts of premeditated first-degree murder. Multiple charges Kim was also charged with were dismissed.

    The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reported that Judge John Gasaway accepted the plea Wednesday morning and handed down the sentence.

    Kim had been set for trial in Jan. 2011.

    Juan Julian Vasquez, 45, was found shot to death in his Clarksville home on June 23, several hours after the body of Thomas Leon Vasquez was found bound with duct tape in a high school parking lot.

    The father was vice chairman of the Clarksville Human Relations Commission and founder of the Hispanic Organization for Progress and Education.
