    Musuem of Discovery gets kids moving with 'Dino Dash'

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 15, 2012) - Every year, families take to the streets in support of the Museum of Discovery

    The 13th annual Dino Dash and Discovery Fest will take over the River Market this Saturday, May 19. Dino Dash is a 5K walk/run for ages 5 years and older and a 1K Family Fun Run for all ages.

    Onsite registration is from 6:30-7:45 a.m. with the Discovery Fest opening at 7:30 a.m. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. and the 1K starts at 9 a.m. Both races begin and end in the River Market District. 

    Prizes are awarded to top 3 finishers in 5K age groups and all 1K participants age 1-10 receive a medal and dino prize.

    Registration costs are $25 per person for pre-registration and $30 on the day of the race. All race registrants receive a 2012 Dino Dash T-shirt, goodie bag and free admission to the Museum of Discovery on race day.

    Not a race runner, but still want in on the fun? Come enjoy a morning of family fun at the Discovery Fest from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. that is free and open to the public. Activities include science demonstrations, games, crafts and more!

    All proceeds from Dino Dash benefit educational programs at Museum of Discovery.
